Please note that it is advisable to hold a freight insurance for high-value product transports to substantially reduce the risks involved, since the upper limit for damages in mandatory international transport insurance (CMR insurance) is approx. 10 EUR/kg.
Certain risks cannot be ruled out either by the freight forwarded or the carrier, but damages (e.g., force majeure) may be avoided with a case-by-case insurance.
Agreements for a single-trip insurance are concluded for the specific freight, load, route and time frame. The insurance fee depends on the type of products insured, transport routes, packaging, type of transport, and the sum of the insurance coverage.
